Q: How much does a resume cost? A: That depends on exactly what you need. There are several options or “Packages”. The range is generally $85.00 - $99.00 at this time. And presently USA Resume offers college discounts for students, fresh graduates of many of the area colleges, and military (former and enlisted). The Full Resume package (99) includes tips on job searching/interviewing, as well as a portfolio case & an e-mail version of your new resume on a CD or your flash drive.
Q: How Fast – How soon will it be ready?
A: If you need a basic resume it usually takes an estimated 4 business days to the final print. But within a couple of days you can preview the various draft versions with your information in order to select and refine for the final version. Also consider extra time for any extra items you may order, such as cover letters or certain special papers. “Rush Order” resumes are available as well, for an extra fee. This is a two-day turn around, in order that the highest quality may be maintained.
Q: How Good – why is yours better?
A:
Q: Do I have to have a resume drafted first?
A: No. But any information you care to bring may help. You may want to, for example, make a note of friends or co-workers you can provide to be included in the Reference section of your resume. Whether with or without any materials, USA Resume can take 30 to 40 minutes asking you a few questions, and develop a great resume “from scratch.”
Q: Could I just have my current resume revised?
A: Yes. We can revise your old resume to update any changes you need. Now if you are actually creating an entirely new one (and this is obsolete), that is a different situation. But for $70 USA Resume can put your new data like an address or job change on a newly typed copy and give you three excellent quality final drafts. Remember that a true “Revised Resume” qualifies by having not more than three changes.
Q: Do you post resumes on-line for people?
A: At this time, we do not offer any postings of your newly purchased resume. Although we can prepare it on a disk or your USB for you to post on any number of websites you would like. As a suggestion - experts say it is ideal to only post on two or three job sites, at most, in order for a realistic response time to potential employers. We do not guarantee any job after we have produced your final product. Further, we do not do any type of matching or placement. These would be in the area employment agencies may be involved. However, we have a Service-to-Service marketing project in place. This means we will provide you a basic list of area employment agencies that have this agreement with USA Resume to only name one another’s service – just to let you know they are out there.
Q: Do you come up with the wording?
A: We, as business writers, develop the design and create a professionally-worded resume for you. If you have specific language you need in an area(s) of your resume, we will do our best to quote. Most people prefer that we develop the wording of the resume also, due to a consistent flow. You will find that we will use some of your words back as when you described your goals, and former position duties, but it is generally new wording.
Q: How about E-mailing my resume?
A: Our Full Resume Package (top end) has many extra features, including an e-mailable resume of yours. This is protected for your sake and ours, and will transmit well over the computer. We are able to put it in acceptable common software, which is the most readable for potential employers. Our service can e-mail the final resume to you, if you would like. We can talk about that option when we meet. We can discuss the possibility of separate e-mailable disk purchase, as well as additional hard copies of your resume – these are options that are determined by USA Resume, depending on your primary package purchased.
Q: After I decide I would like a resume, what do I have to do? A: Call for an appointment (260) 373-1872. We meet, and with no obligation, you tell me what you need, I show you what USA Resume has, and you decide if you would like us to serve you.
